Busy week ahead.

Heath and I have made a joint effort to forgo speaking of our current situation any longer. So as of this moment....it's done and in GOD's hands

Alright, with that said....what a week/weekend. Three diaper cakes, one VERY stressful trip to the fabric store (hahaha Marlita), job hunting, rescue fundraising stuff, and well keeping up with O...and the list goes on and on. This week won't be much different....however, my main focus IS our Homeward Bound Rescue Fundraiser this coming weekend!!! I can't believe it's already here and there is still so much that needs to be done........my main stress is finding someone to keep their eyes on a specific youngen while Mommy is in charge of heading the days activities along with yelling into the bullhorn all the while getting people to spend their dough on our LOVELY silent auction! Including a raffle for a 50" HDTV!!!! I'll post more tomorrow about it!! It's pretty exciting!!!

I will leave you with these pictures......we have been SO blessed with a little girl who is not much of a mischief seeker and for now I will be thankful that this is NOT a phase! When she gets quiet....I peak in on her and I will almost ALWAYS 99.9% of the time find her sitting in her room reading a book. (P.S. The gate was up so I could get some stuff done and to keep el pugos OUT)

Discouraged.

I'm feeling a little discouraged. I know I need to trust God--but it's getting a little harder everday. I'm sitting her going..."Okay God...where are you???" and in return I know He's saying..."I'm right here".

I'm thankful tomorrow is church.....I think it's what I need to rejuvenated myself--Heath too.

Saving Sophia~PLEASE visit her website!!

Ya know I'm a softie for Pugs & my heart is for the rescue. So when I read this story about sweet baby Sophia & I had to share! She is being fostered by Precious Pug Rescue & Adoption

Here's part of her story:

Sophia is an adorable apricot little pug puppy who is 8 weeks old. She was diagnosed with Spina Bifida. Two vets suggested putting her down!! Her new vet says she is an almost perfect pug puppy but is suffering from paralysis in her hind legs. She is a feisty, happy, little puppy who holds her own and has no idea that she is different from any other loving puglet. She LOVES to play and scoot around with her foster brother and sister. She will need surgery in a few weeks....please read her blog for daily updates - http://pugrescuenyc.blogspot.com/. She will also need a cart in about 8 mos and needs to wear a little diaper which gets changed frequently.

If you love animals....PLEASE go to this website, read her story, check out her video clips (as they are the cutest thing you've EVER seen) & if you feel led donate to help in paying for her surgery then by all means, they would gladly love the help!!!

Thanks....

Today was a good day!

Heath & I have been so torn about keeping O in daycare while he isn't working....but if he suddenly gets a job, we will be up a creek. SOOOOOOOOO, we've kept in her daycare. Well, the first place wasn't so successful....at first I figured it was just an adjustment period (even after the first day of O being bit in the head & then mysteriously getting a rash on her lip). But after two weeks of a constant battle of the wills, gut wrenching cries, no naps, I've come to trust my mommy gut and pulled her from this place. It was God who brought daycare #2 into our life....today was her 1st day and no battle of wills, no gut wrenching cries and she napped for about 30mins (which is good for a new place). She even smiled happily at me when I picked her up! It was great.

Now.....if we can get Heath a GREAT job we'd be set!!! Please continue to keep us in your prayers that the right doors open for Heath. I know God has something great in store for us!

For now. Good night.

"Adelgazar"

adelgazar = lose weight / slim down
this is my spanish word of the day! do you think that could possibly be my hint???

"Oney"

I usually walk around the house calling Heath "Honey".....so it's no surprise that our little mocking bird picked it up! It's so funny though when you hear this little voice in the background yelling "oney".......it's the funniest thing!! "Oney"

Well it's been about two weeks....

since my last post. (Gosh, it sounds like I'm going to confession or something! LOL!)

Anyway, so much has gone on since we got back from Wisconsin. When we left it was different this time & it made me realize I really do miss my family a lot....A LOT! In due time things will all work together if it is what God wants for us. So for now...we forge on. I like that...simply because we must continue to move forward no matter the circumstance because well the world does not stop when we try to figure things out....it continues and so must we. Well the job search with Heath is still just that...a search. Good leads but nothing promising yet. O started daycare last week--not because Heath can't or won't watch her but because #1-because we were already on a waiting list and #2-we figured WHEN he finds a job we'd still need fulltime care! Anyway.....it has not gone so well or smoothly--which I knew would be the case but it's really much more then just a little seperation anxiety on her part--it's what I feel inside everyday when I leave her. And it has made things much more difficult--for me & O. So we've started looking around--I think we've found a place that Heath & I both like and O seemed very comfortable there. Again, it could have been that we were both there but I felt a peace about it. So I will pray that the process from her on out will go better. As for me...I've been hard at work making connections, trying to get this diaper cake business up & running. It's hard with work & O....but I'm really excited & nervous because I'd really like to see us succeed. There are some things I've got in the works--my wonderful brother in law is working on somethings, I found a blog-makerover website that I'm going to use to remaster our website, we've got two arts & craft fairs set up for the fall & well I'm hoping that word of mouth will continue to spread as babies continue to be born!!! After you have read this go visit my other blog to see the new cakes we've been working on!

Now I will post some pictures from the last two weeks. Little Miss O is constantly on the move and talking wildly--she copies just about everything you say and is so smart! She's too big for her britches if you ask me though....I miss my little baby to snuggle with. I guess that's life and kinda what I agreed to when I brought her into this world!!!
