Great News!!!

Update on Lola's biopsy. We got the results over the weekend! It came back benign....and all margins are clear!! WOOOHOOO! We are very thankful to everyone who kept us in their thoughts and prayers! We love you guys and appreciate EVERYTHING!! Big sigh of relief!

Home AT LAST!!

Today Mom is going to post a blog. Lola is a little out of sorts as you can see from the pictures below. Lola is doing well with the exception of the "Elizabethan" collar wrapped around her neck! She has a hard time relaxing but I'm sure she'll figure out it's not plastic or wear herself out trying to hold her head up, but I guess I wonder how would I feel.
The surgery itself went well....now the real test will be waiting for the results to come back from the biopsy (AKA "bib-opsy" as Auntie Cyndi would call it), which will about a week. We have two weeks with stitches, she'll be monitored while going potty outside until they are out....PLUS we have to limit her activity both inside & outside....yeah right...let's see how we handle that tiny little task one! I guess we are going to have to take turns getting up EXTRA early for the morning potty run!!
So far though she's been doing well. I will post soon with an update. Until then me & Heath thank you for all your prayers, good thoughts and support through all this! It's been tough BUT we are going get through with FLYING COLORS!!

My Lovely Lady. by Lola's Mama

Just dropped her off about an hour ago, now I have to be at work and try to concentrate while they poke and prod my baby girl. I know everything will be alright. I prayed with her the last night, this morning and on our way to the vet's office! She's a pretty stubborn cookie and if this interfers with her eating, playing, sleeping or socializing--she is going to fight through this like the dickens!! She's got a great little spirit about her....that's why we love her so much!
I'm doing ok....I'll be better when she's home. I'll be A LOT BETTER when she gets clear margins from the removal of the mass. Thankfully we have a great family who prays for our babies. I'll be back to update tonight after we get her home.

My mom wanted to take pictures of me the night before I went in for surgery. Something about documenting all the events before, during and after! Well here we are the night before....I think I look a lot more calm....I guess I'm still not sure of all that's happening. I took a picture with my sister...doesn't she look funny with her tongue sticking out?? I love posing for pictures and I know my mom LOVES taking them! Well I guess I'm ready for tomorrow--I know I'm going to be away from my sister all day and in a strange place. I sure hope Mommy doesn't let them keep me for too long!! Oh well, I guess I'll be back tomorrow to post how the day went, if I can't I'm sure my mommy will! Blog with you later!!

Went to the Vet today. by Lola Jacobson

Well I have some "new" news. My Mommy & Daddy took me back to the vet today for a follow up for an ear infection and also I have a growth on my left paw that was badly infected. The vet had me on meds and ear drops (which I hated) . Anyway, the vet has been very worried about this ugly thing growing on my toe....she's been worried that it might be a tumor growing but couldn't do anything until the infection went down. Anyway, went today and the infection did go down but the growth looked worse. They poked me a couple of times with this sharp needle and they wouldn't let my Mommy hold me.....but thankfully they let her stay with me. Unfortunately, the Vet did see some "suspicious" cells and wants to have it removed ASAP, plus they want to send it away to see what it is and if I'm in any danger!
Well I'm going under on Wednesday.....me, my mommy & my daddy are real nervous because we don't really know what all this means but we are hoping that I'm going to be back to my old self in no time. Sophie's been a little worried too because she's wondering what's going with her sister but I'm trying to be brave so she doesn't get scared!
