A GREAT loss in Pugdom.

Over lunch today Mama told us of the sad news of the loss of a Great Pug by the name of Stymie! We had the chance to meet Stymie at Pugtona in June & he will forever hold a special place in our hearts! He was one special Pug...he had been with his Mommy for about 15 years...he spent most of his life attached to the hip to his Mama (literally). He gave new meaning to the term "Mama's Boy"....but he was well worth the spoiling. Over the last year Stymie got really sick but through it all he remained a distinquished "GENTLEman", complaining very little & never lost his spunk. His Mama's only wish was to have ONE last Christmas with her sweet man,Stymie. Being the kind soul that he was, he granted his Mama's wish & stuck around so he could wake up one more time with his Mama on Christmas morning! That is exactly what he did....unfortunately, it was finally his time & he crossed Rainbow Bridge last night....knowing how much he meant to his Mama he gave her her last Christmas wish....now he can rest in peace knowing his life is now complete! And although Kathy will miss him more than ANYONE could possibly imagine, he's no longer in hurting & can now run pain free forever....and one day all of the hurting Kathy is feeling now will being to fade away & she can start to feel peace that his life was well lived! He is now her Guardian Angel! We've posted some pictures of the sweet guy....he has truly touched so MANY lives across the United States...he will be missed...GREATLY!

We LOVE you Stymie....may you rest in peace!
Love Your Forever Friends,
Lola & Sophie

Another GREAT loss....

This month has been a tough one for those with Senior Pugs.....we have lost some great Pugs. Our good Friend, Lisa (Midwest Pug Rescue) lost her Ol' Pug JB, her BEST friend....he has been around since the beginning of time....about 14 plus years! She got the news that he was very sick and it all happened so quickly....she was devastated....I know she will be GREATLY miss him! We all will, he was one of those Pugs who touch you the minute you meet him and have a FOREVER hold on your heart!! We had the pleasure of him meeting at Pugtona this year...he stole my heart the instant I saw him...I didn't know who he belongned to at first, he just sat there, so clam and sweet looking...I was smitten!!! Lisa is the reason we have Sophie in our home...and we will hold her in our thoughts and our prayers during this time....it's so tough to lose your best friend.....he was such Mama's Boy and she loved him so!

Rest in peace sweet JB!!

Happy Thanksgiving......

Here are Some Holiday Tips For You and Your Best Friend:
The holiday season is upon us and is a great time of year when families and friends get together to share meals and each other’s company. We hope you will include your best friend in all the festivities, but be careful of some traditions that can be harmful. The
Humane Society of the United States offers these holiday tips:

**Certain plants such as Mistletoe berries, and the leaves, stem and flowers of the Poinsettia can be dangerous to pets. Be sure to keep these plants well out of the reach of animals in your home, or consider using artificial versions.
**Foods and drinks such as alcoholic beverages, seeds and pits from many fruits, chocolate, macadamia nuts, walnuts, coffee, tea, salt, onions, and other foods can be harmful to pets.
**Never feed pets leftovers from the dinner table. Items such as chicken bones can easily shatter and choke cats and dogs.
**Decorations such as tinsel, glass ornaments and garlands can easily attract pets, but are dangerous choking hazards. Electric decorations such as stringed lights can give your pets a shock should they chew on the wires. Keep decorations out of their reach.
**The unusual commotion of the holiday season can be stressful on animals as well as humans. **Put your pets in a quiet room or quiet area of the house when guests are visiting.
**All we would add is to remember that we are all creatures of habit. Try your best to keep your four-legged friends routine consistent throughout the season. And, when the stress gets to be too great for either of you, some quite time, a long walk or a trip to your local petstore for a special treat always seems to help calm the nerves.

With all that said...Have a safe and FUN Thanksgiving....and don't forget to VOTE for me and Sophie everyday until the end of the month!!!

By popular demand....

This is our friend Chloe.....her "real" family (The MajicFamily) moved to Florida and couldn't take her with them. After about 11 years they had to say "Goodbye" to their furry friend!! Ok, not trying to make anyone cry....good news is a very NICE family brought her into their home...The Camacho's!! We've been the go between, keeping the family updated with pics and news of, who we dubbed, Chloe LOVE....she's a BIG bundle of LOVE!! She's a sweetheart and doesn't ask for much...just to be snuggled with....which her new mommy & our mommy doesn't have any trouble with. It was a little tough getting used to this big girl....but she's settling in nicely. Anyway, without any further ado....her are some pictures of our new friend Chloe LOVE!! =0) P.S....We couldn't leave out a picture of Chloe's new brother Frankie...he's another "LOVE BUG"!!

Here she is doing who knows what??
But thought this was a pretty funny picture!! =0)

Here's her bro..Frankie!!

Help The Animals!!

Our thoughts and prayers

Just wanted to take a minute to say, if you haven't already, we encourage you to help out the PEOPLE who have lost everything because of this devastating disaster, Hurricane Katrina. We ask you to donate anything you possibly can.....donate blood, volunteer your time, money, etc. Also since we hold a special place in our hearts for animals we also encourage you to help out the relief efforts for those with NO VOICE & have been left to fend for themselves...the animals!! There were thousands left behind, swept away and killed when Katrina made landfall. Thankfully there were some animals who were brought to safety early enough and then there are those who just simply survived. There is a HUGE relief effort under way with many animal resuces who are joining forces to help reach and save those animals and pets in need!! Please visit www.HSUS.org (The Humane Society of the United States) for information regarding their relief efforts. There are also places like PetSmart or Petco who are locally where you live that you can help out as well. PLEASE, PLEASE don't forget the animals! If you'd like more information regarding this site please don't hesitate to contact me anytime or contact your local Humane Society to see what they are doing to help. We all CAN make a difference!!

Visit any of the following websites:

All our love, thoughts and prayers go out to ALL the families who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina.
