The BIG dilema!!!

So maybe this isn't about the family but I have to get it off my chest!!!!! LOL!

How can three VERY important things be happening on the VERY same weekend! And HOW do I make the decision to attend only one!?!?!?!? I swear, I'm not a person with very many interests and outside of my family I'm only commited to two things.....Our Pug Rescue & Scrapbooking. If you know me...you know how important those two issues are to me. The 3rd thing, well it's not so much of importance as it is something that's just near and dear to me and still brings me to tears when I see it/them.

Are you ready? Okay....here's how the story unfolds. Every year for the last 5 years I've attended our
annual scrapbook retreat, it's an annual thing that happens mid September. However this year, they moved it to October 3rd-5th. No biggie.......until I get the word on the date set for our annual fundraising event for Homeward Bound Pug Rescue (for which I work the bullhorn & try my best to get the pugs & people involved in the activities for the day)--well it's Saturday, October 4th. YIKES! They are on too far apart to leave one and attend the other for the day. HOW do I choose?? I did make a choice...it was hard but I did it.

THEN......TODAY.....I "the" email (this is where the 3rd thing falls into place). It's no secret that I was a "block" head (HUGE fan of New Kids on the Block) when I was younger. Anyway....my sisters thought it would be fun to go together since we did back in the day! Anyway...their reunion tour dates have been posted......the closest place they'll be playing is in Chicago! Guess what day........OCTOBER 4th! SERIOUSLY!

Anyway...there is my dilema. I figure if this is the worst thing I have to worry about............I'm doing pretty good. =^)

So she's one.

Our Little O turned ONE a week ago. I'm still reeling. Especially because since that BIG day she started walking...very well I might add. I simply cannot grasp this yet, especially since....well....to me she still my little baby. I'm also supposed to be starting the transition to milk and away from the bottle. Why does this have to be?!?!?! I'm simply NOT ready and refuse to deal with it all...I've decided I will live in denial. I can't stop the walking...so I will allow this...she has to eat food so I will continue to feed her regular food. However....the milk thing...wellllll...it's not happening! It's not and you can't make me! Well........at least not yet.

Anyway...here are some pictures of our little love bug!

O's party went off without a hitch. Everyone who helped me stay on track and help me stay organized....I thank you! It was fun to plan (yes stressful) & totally worth it! She only turns ONE once....RIGHT! So we went all out! Here are some pictures from her day! We had good food, good friends & family....and lots of fun! And you can't forget the Pinata....no party is complete without one no matter how old you are!!

Everyone got in the spirit!

Our Beautiful Family!!!

April 1, 2008

So here is the latest.

So now that I've got my blog all polished up & changed the domain name, I made it for our family...I'll give you a little update on our happenings!

We are preparing for the BIG day. O will be turning one in a few weeks....this is a BIG deal in our house. We are also preparing for the arrival of the The G Family and possibly my Dad! So lots of fun stuff to get ready for. Anyway.........we also just had O dedicated. That was an experience...and very beautiful one! Pastor Ed prayed that they will be the salt & light of the earth. It was pretty amazing. I'm happy we found a chruch we both really like and finally had the opportunity to get O dedicated....that was important to me! (thank you Auntie Ninnie for encouraging me to go)

We do still have the pugs....in fact we have three. Lola & Sophie and then we added an older pug--Big Ben (he'll be 13 in July) about a year and a half ago....and while he's brought a lot of medical issues with him...I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. He's really a good guy....and LOVES his humans. Not to mention.........O adores him!

Also....here are some cute pics of her being...welll...her!

She loves to help with the laundry.
