Happy Pug-O-Ween!!!

Happy Pug-O-Ween!! I know my Mommie & Daddie don't really celebrate the actual holiday but our Mommie sure does enjoy dressing us up & making us look so silly! Lucky for her we love her so much we humor her just for the heck of it & so does Daddie (wink-wink)! Well as most of you know our Mommie has been slaving away over the last month on our costume so she could enter us into the Boo-HaHa pet costume contest on Brookside, this past Saturday. She came down to two choices--the Pink Ladies from Grease or Disco Doggies! She went with The Pink Ladies & created what you see below! We over heard Mommie talking to "GIGI"(gorgeous grandma) that she had a vision in her head of what she wanted our costumes to look like! She went with it & this is what was the result! Included in her vision was the boys costumes to be the "T-Birds" also from Grease and luckily our new "boy" friends Marley & Riley were happy to join in on the fun--with the OK from their Mommie of course (who by the way loves them just as much as our Mommie loves us)! Her vision became reality & we became the "Pink Puggies" and Marley & Riley were the "T-Pugs". We all headed down to Brookside but unfortunately, due to miscommunication we didn't make it in time to enter the contest--our Mommies were so disappointed! It wasn't all bad though, we meet some new Pug friends, so Mommie invited them to our Pug Meet-Up this Saturday! (Boy our social life is really picking up, sure hope Mommie & Daddie can keep up!) Anyway, we also took the longest walk of our life, 4 WHOLE BLOCKS--we were pooped! We visited our friends at The Dog Dish, then we all stopped at Sonic & our Mommie & Daddie made up for the long walk when they shared their lunch with us--YUMMY!! We had so much fun yesterday but were super tired when we got home! Well we hope you enjoy these pictures and check back next weekend for pictures from our Pug Meet-Up, which we are co-hosting by the way with Marley & Riley! Enjoy & hope you all had a fun & safe Pug-O-Ween!

A dedication from Alberts Mom.

This was written by Rebecca, who was the proud owner of Albert!
Albert was very special and unique, probably more so because we are from the North West of England, and in the UK while there are pugs out there you very rarely see them. Albert never went to a pug party, the last one that was held is the only one that happens all year run by the UK Pug Welfare society, but I had a bridesmaid dress fitting so we couldn't go. I feel very upset about that now.Albert was always one step behind us, he lived with my Mum Susan and his best friend the cat Sherbert. He loved his Daddy, Garry, very much they would go on long walks and adventures, he loved digging sand on the beach and paddling.I was his Mum, and we would play a game where I would kiss him and he would kiss me back over and over again, giving me sidelong glances. When he got excited his little body would crease up and he would fly up and down the room skididng and skating as he went. We used to laugh and laugh when he did this.He loved our handkerchiefs, and would steal them out of our pockets and race off with them.Every morning when my Mum, or me would put out make up on he would set on a chair close up to us and everything we did, like putting mascara or lipstick on he would put his paw on our arm and he had to smell it before we carried on. He would do this with everything we put on.If I was upset or crying he would put his paw on my arm then lick my tears away.He would tell you what walk he wanted to go on by pulling in one direction and refusing to go in the other! He loved being cradled like a baby and would snort and snort.I could go on and on....! Our beloved boy, the magic in life has gone now he has left us and we are just existing in such a cold, empty world. Thanks so much for this kindness.Rebecca Ward xxx

Albert the Great! Posted by Hello

October 25, 2004

In loving memory of Albert The Great.

This post is written by Lola & Sophie's mommie. As you know my husband & I are owned by 2 beautiful Pugs Lola & Sophie. They are our world & as with most Pug owners we have all come to the same conclusion--You don't ever own a Pug they "OWN" you! There is never a dull moment in our home and the thought of not having them in my life anymore brings tears to my eyes. So I write this post with both joy and sadness to celebrate & commemorate the life of a great Pug named Albert, who went to join other Pug Angels in the sky on October 24, 2004 at the age of 3. He brought joy & happiness to his proud owner Rebecca & her family as I'm sure to all those he came in contact with. He loved showing off and I'm sure he loved posing for the camera as you can see in his picture! It came as a shock to all of us at the Yahoo Pug Forum to find out of his passing because it happened so quickly. We all prayed for a miracle & a quick recovery. I know his Mom did all she could do to keep him safe and sound but unfortunately God had bigger plans for Albert and although we may not know what they are just yet or wonder why he had to be taken so suddenly, we take comfort in knowing that he no longer is in any pain and Albert can run, jump & play once again--forever. I didn't get the pleasure of meeting Albert or his owner Rebecca but we will always share a special bond--A Pug's Love. Rebecca, I can't imagine the pain & sadness you must be feeling since Albert's passing but hang on to all the good times and all the joy he brought to your life and know that everyday your pain will lessen and missing him won't hurt so bad & remember you'll meet up again someday!
With all our Pug Hugs & Love, Yvonne, Heath Lola & Sophie.
